A live drum n bass, garage and grime experience, the Farmers started "farming" in the summer of 2005. Having realised the MC's of London didn't have any live backing and always had to perform with a record as a backing track, the Farmers set about creating a "live backing track" that could be shaped and that moved with the MC.

The MC's they play with now have the power to direct where their basslines are going to go and the Farmers take their cues directly from the lyrics. This makes for a 100% live and interactive show and takes the performance pressure off the individuals under the lights so that they can relax and give their all.

Jeremy's a drummer. He has played other instruments but the drums have always been his friend. After graduating from Birmingham with a BSc in Geology, he joined the international percussion sensation STOMP in 1999 www.stomp.co.uk. After four years of world tour taking him to some far flung corners including a ten month stint in Paris and a ten month stint in Boston MA where he met the wonderful woman who has since become his wife (sorry ladies). Still working for Stomp, Jeremy moved back to London late in 2003 to rejoin Jarmer Files and start a number of different projects.

Jarmer Files makes the Riddims. He has been involved with rock, pop, classical, jazz, folk, world and various urban musics and he is now concentrating on creating riddim tracks for the farmers. He says, "The universe drives me to music" ... and .... "my creativity is presently fuelled by class C narcotics."

Jarmer Files and Jeremy met at the school bus stop in 1986 and played their first gig together at school assembly in 1990. So that makes 16 years they've been playing together. Some say that this longevity makes for a great sound since they know each other well enough to predict the other's musical direction. Certainly, their music has kept them entertained for all this time.

A number of London's finest have worked with the Farmers so far...
